Have you ever wondered how you could improve your PC setup in looks and functionality? Then you have come to the right place because believe it or not, the looks and functionality of your gaming setup can improve your gameplay with certain gear and space for it. So let's start right here.
Some of the most important gadgets that you will need aren't a high-end PC and a sick 240hz, 1080p, 1ms monitor, but rather other gadgets that you may not even think about when you are shopping for your new gaming setup. PC and monitor have to be just that good, that you can run the newest, latest games at high settings at decent fps range somewhere around 60fps to 144fps. Remember more is better. So now, let's talk about the other gadgets that will increase your skills and eventually make you a better player.
GAMING MOUSE
Everybody knows what is the purpose of the computer mouse, but do you know that the looks and its main function (to interact with objects on screen) arent the only important things you should look for in a gaming mouse. Some of the important features you have to look for are also the option to set your own DPI, a good tracking sensor, low latency, weight, and overall shape of the mouse for every grip you use during your playtime. It is worth mentioning that you should also look for other features like the number of customizable buttons for every playstyle you use.
MOUSEPAD
It is one item you should not miss. The mousepad is an item that is mainly used to provides as little fraction as possible, between your mouse and the surface, so every move you make with your gaming mouse feels fluent and not disrupted by anything, so you can move it as freely as you can. When you are looking for a mouse pad you should consider your mouse sensitivity. If you have low mouse sensitivity you have to look for a bigger mousepad. That way you won't run out of space when you will try to move your mouse from one point to the other. The same goes for users with medium and high sensitivity. Medium sensitivity - Medium size and High sensitivity - small size. If you don't know what size you need, or you are not sure if your sensitivity will change through time, just go with the bigger one because that way you just can't get it wrong. Take in mind that durability is also important when you are buying a mousepad.
HEADSET
A headset is one of the most important items you must-have for competitive gaming. They allow you to hear the direction from which the enemy is coming what really comes in handy in-game genres like FPS, and on the other hand, they provide a kind of barrier from surrounding sounds that may impact your experience. One of the most important things about any gaming headset is its comfortability and the sound you are getting out of it. Light, wireless headsets that don't heat up easily are really a thing to go with if you want to game for a long time as comfortably as you can. One of the important things that a good headset needs is also a good microphone. If your headset has one you do not need to bother with buying a separate one any time soon.
KEYBOARD
When choosing a gaming keyboard it is important to look at a few major things, like switches, keyboard size, and overall design.
SWITCHES
For switches, you should first choose between a membrane or mechanical switches. There is also a combination of those two but those switches are still membrane but they feel a little bit like mechanical and sound like mechanical switches.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEMBRANE AND MECHANICAL SWITCHES
The difference between membrane and mechanical switch is that the mechanical one is louder and the weight you must put on the key can wary of different versions of the mechanical switch. The price is usually higher for mechanical keyboards. Mechanical switches usually have a faster response time when pressed than the membrane ones.
SIZE
As you probably know there are multiple keyboard sizes you can choose from like 60%, 65%, and so on. You should choose that size that is the most useful for you and that fits in the space you are using it in. So if you are the person that uses the numeric part of the keyboard then go with a full-size keyboard. On the opposite side, if you don't use the numeric part go with the keyboard without it. You will save some money that way. Smaller keyboards usually look better and cleaner than the big ones.
KEYBOARD DESING
Last but not least thing you have to look for in a keyboard is its design. If you are going to spend a lot of time in front of your monitor typing on your keyboard is the comfort one of the most important things you should look for. The height of your keyboard with its keycaps is really important for the position of your wrist. I recommend you to use a keyboard wrist-rest if you are going to spend a lot of time typing.
MICROPHONE
If your headset doesn't already have a microphone or you just want a better one you should choose one that will record your sounds in the best quality possible. Anti-shock mount or holding arm are the accessories I recommend you to look at. Before buying one, you should look for sound records of the specific microphone you want to use, so you will see how it will probably sound like once you buy yours.
TABLE
When looking for a table you want to use just go with the one that fits you the most with size, the number of drawers if you need any and height. It would be useful if you would find one with a lot of space and adjustable height.
CHAIR
There are a lot of different chairs out there so feel free to choose the one that looks the best for you and is comfortable at the same time. The design of it is important too, so you will keep good posture. It would be very nice if you find one with adjustable armrests that way you could adjust them so sitting in the chair would feel as comfortable as it could.
SPEAKERS
Are an important part of the setup if you don't want to wear your headset or headphones all-day. When you are choosing the right one for you you just have to look for two more important things: design and the sound that comes out of them. Every other feature is mostly just personal preferences.
